Food allergies can be tough, especially when it comes to enjoying sweet treats. So, here's the deal: a lot of desserts have stuff in them that can cause allergic reactions, like nuts, dairy, and eggs. Here is a fudgy brownie recipe that has none of these ingredients. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
½ cup vegetable oil
¾ cup of applesauce
2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
¾ cup granulated sugar
½ teaspoon sea salt
1 cup brown sugar - packed
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 oz chopped bittersweet baking chocolate
¾ cup chopped salted pretzels
cooking spray
Steps:
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Grease a 9x9" baking pan with baking spray.
In a large bowl, blend applesauce, vanilla extract, salt and oil until smooth.
Add in both sugars and mix well.
Sift cocoa powder and flour into another bowl. Fold this into the mixing bowl.
Add chopped pretzels. Mix until evenly distributed.
Add the batter to the pan and smooth.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the center is set (you can use a toothpick to test).
Let cool in the pan for 30 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
